Reform the Funk spoke to Nicole about International Women’s Day, her work, and being a woman in today’s society. Black Girl Festival is the UK’s first festival celebrating black women past, present, and future. Before the festival, there was nothing that celebrated black women in the UK. Nicole created BGF to find a space where they could culturally and artistically express who they are, built around what it’s like to be a black woman in the UK.
