The People of Letters project created a collection of portraits and interviews with 24 publishers, writers and activists who have supported writers of colour. Out of these 24, four were selected to tell their stories through object interviews. We filmed these separate artefact interviews and created four experimental short films for the wider museum.
This project was all about creating a comfortable environment for the subject and really getting to the bottom of their stories and creating a film that shows imaginative use of sound and image to narrate a story. The films also needed to work audibly on digital and broadcast-quality platforms
